PhD / PD positions in Photonics Integrated Circuit Technology: These positions are open for research into the technology for monolithic and heterogeneous photonics integrated circuits. The research will focus on developing state-of-the-art, III/VI photonics integration production techniques in combination with wafer- and coupon-scale heterogeneous integration technology. A specific focus will be placed on step-change performance advances for the integrated building blocks – the native lasers, amplifiers, quantum confined stark effect modulators, and detectors.
"PhD positions in Heterogeneously Integrated Photonics" :
These positions are focused on laser integration in silicon photonic devices, which are typically fabricated via complex processing of expensive single crystal wafers. The project aims to develop a simple, low-cost laser materials processing procedure to fabricate high-quality polysilicon photonic platforms that will ease issues associated with optoelectronic integration. The work will involve materials growth, device fabrication, optical characterization, and device benchmarking.
"Postdoc positions" :
Multiple postdoc positions are available.
